Could Licorice extract cause steroid atrophy?

Beauty Tips For Body Care I'm interested in including licorice extract in an anti-redness/inflammation serum. While researching licorice extract components however, I learned that the component glycyrrhizin (glycyrrhizic acid) bears structural similarity to corticosteroids, which may be responsible for its anti-inflammatory action. Since prolonged application of even weak topical corticosteroids is known to cause akin atrophy and premature aging, I'm worried that licorice root could have a similar effect. Does anyone know anything about this? Any information would be much appreciated.
