Sun Exposure

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I've been reading a lot of posts on this sub and everyone advocates against sun exposure without sunscreen. I've been doing some research to gain some knowledge on the subject and I've found that while excessive exposure to the sun is bad for you, you do need a bit of exposure without sunscreen. Here are two sources:Although irresponsible sunbathing is unquestionably harmful and precautions need to be taken, regular, moderate, unprotected sun exposure is essential for good health. It is free, easy to get and good for you when used intelligently. It is the only reliable way to generate vitamin D in your own body, which we now know to be an essential ingredient for optimizing health and preventing disease.Ten to 15 minutes of sunshine three times weekly is enough to produce the body's requirement of vitamin D. The sun needs to shine on the skin of your face, arms, back, or legs (without sunscreen). Because exposure to sunlight is a risk for skin cancer, you should use sunscreen after a few minutes in the sun.So, this is not to say that sunscreen isn't necessary, but just that the general consensus on this sub of "don't ever go outside without sunscreen" seems to be wrong.I'm just looking for other people's opinion on this because I've never seen anyone talk about healthy doses of sunscreen-free sun exposure.
