Beauty Tips For Body Care
I know this is a weird one but I've been pole dancing for around 2 years now and only recently developed this bizarre irritation on my right leg. It's my preferred leg for climbs so it's often pressed directly against the pole and gets a decent amount of abuse as I climb. In the past few months, this red, bumpy, itchy, scabby, razor-burn-looking, irritation has been popping up.I have a great pre and post shave routine so I don't think this has anything to do with my razor or lack of skincare. I also never shave the day before having a pole class, in order to give my skin time to heal.I've been told it could be a nickel allergy that's being irritated by the pole, but I would think I'd have rashes elsewhere if that was the case (though it does happen to some polers and we have a brass pole in the studio if that ends up being the problem). Does this look like an allergy? I'm not ruling it out!I think it's largely related to all the sweat and the friction. It would appear that I'm getting some ingrown hairs as a result of all the climbs, too... would using witch hazel more frequently than just after my shave prevent this? Maybe that's the main problem?Any insight would be appreciated. This is a weird one that has everyone I've asked stumped :(Thanks, ScA!
