[Acne] Accutane, Protein Shakes, Vitamin A Warning

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey guys, I had been on accutane for about 2 months. I was doing really well, acne completely cleared up, basically had no side effects other than very dry skin. Then I had to come off it for about 27 days because I came down with some kind of chicken-pox like virus and the doc was afraid that it would effect my body's immune system. Anyway, I've been back on the accutane for a little more than a week now and just got the lab results from the blood work done. Apparently my liver enzymes are very high, and I was told to discontinue the accutane. The doc asked if I drank or did anything that would compromise my liver, which I don't, I'm a very health concious individual. Then he called me back and asked if I had been drinking protein shakes, which I just started doing as I've been trying to put on my muscle. Well, it turns out the protein shake I've been drinking is full of Vitamin A...I know how stupid this is, so I've oviously stopped drinking the protein shakes altogether. I believe this was the main reason my liver enzymes were elvated, as they had been perfectly fine all the previous months. I really don't want to discontinue the accutane again, as I just went back on it. Regardless, I plan on staying off it for at least some amount of time to let my liver recover. Do you any of you have any suggestions as to how long I should wait. I think my doc overreacted a bit thinking it was some weird reaction but I'm almost positive this is not the case. What do you guys think?Figured it was worth sharing this so other people don't make this mistake. Just so your aware, I had only been drinking the protein shakes for about a week. Each serving contains 90% of ones recommended daily intake of Vitamin A, so a little less than 3000IU for guys
