Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'm totally new to reddit/skincareaddiction, I only found this subreddit last week and have been lurking now for a bit. Right now my routine is: morning: 1) Cerave gentle cleanser (the non-foaming one?) 2) Acanya (prescription topical antibiotic/benzoyl peroxide) ONLY if I have persistent zits at the moment 3) Cerave moisturizer 4) Sunscreen, usually the neutrogena ultra sheer in 30 spfnight: 1) cerave cleanser 2) acanya, almost always, regardless of zits 3) cerave moisturizer -sometimes instead of acanya i will use the bioelements "amino mask" which is a nice spot treatment for zits.I'd describe my skin as normal, maybe occasionally sensitive. I get zits on my chin maybe once a week, or on my cheek occasionally. They clear up within probably 4 days but i feel like I have PIH that sticks around for a while. I also have little blackheads underneath my lower lip on my chin and on the sides of my nose/cheeks. Even though theyre small they bother me SO much. I was reading here about different ways to treat or get rid of blackheads. I have Atralin prescribed to me by my dermatologist and I am going to start using it 2x a week, at night, instead of my topical antibiotic on those nights. I also read about other ways that people clear up blackheads on here though. I dont know if I can use atralin in combination with other blackhead-ridding treatments. Here are my questions: 1) If I'm using atralin (a tretinol) is there any need for me to do chemical exfoliation? Or is that chemical exfoliation? 2) I was considering getting the "aztec healing clay" mask. If I am using atralin is this safe to use, once my skin is fully adjusted to the atralin? Or is it likely that the two will dry out my face? 3) With oil cleansing method, do you still use a cleanser, moisturizer, spot treatment, etc? Or oil alone? Can you use oil and then cleanser and go about the rest of your routine?I know this is a lot and I feel like some of my questions are silly, but I couldn't find answers specific to the combination of products and stuff. I just really want a good, consistent routine that I can use to slowly get clearer and better skin. Thanks in advance for help!
