Beauty Tips For Body Care
i recently had a weird eyelid breakout. i used like three new products at once and for some reason, only my eyelids and a bit skin around my outer eyes were affected. i have really sensitive skin and wasn't surprised, but i learned my lesson. i used some hydrocortisone and a few days later it cleared up. i was worried about putting something like that there, and once it was clear, my eyelids felt almost silky smooth. skin thinning? i thought i was having some kind of contact dermatitis because soon after my lips started breaking out and itching a bit. (this is really gross but i naively used my toothbrush to brush my eyebrows [inflamed area] bc i couldn't find my spoolie....) nothing horrible, but like...tiny bumps around the edges, barely visible. somewhat itchy and inflamed, too. i thought it had something to do with my eyelids, so i used the hydrocortisone there, too. it may have been unrelated, i have no idea :( i was worried about it but i looked at a lot of places online that said it was okay to use on lips. so yesterday i used it a few times throughout the day on my lips and alternated with aquaphor. for the most part, the breakout or w/e it was is gone, but i'm worried because it's like the top layer of skin on my lips is gone. they feel like rubber and they're so tight. the edges are still a tiny bit chapped but this is so bizarre and i'm scared. i read about skin thinning but i didn't think a few uses within the span of a day would result in that. i've been using aquaphor and chapstick and will be getting some vaseline soon, but i feel like obviously this is something that needs time to go away on its own, if it will at all. am i overreacting? will they go back to normal?TLDR: used hydrocortisone (alternated with aquaphor and chapstick) on lips a few times yesterday to help with weird super chapped lips/small breakout, woke up and now it feels like the top layer of skin on my lips is gone, all rubbery. did i do something terrible/will my lips go back to normal?
