Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'm a 33 year old male. I never had acne as a teenager, but around 23 I started getting acne. I started using a face wash with Benzoyl peroxide in it. Recently my skin has become sensitive to it and I develop deep rooted cystic pimples which can last weeks and be severely painful, even if I use it once. I always moisturize but this still doesn't help.I stopped using anything with BP in it and my face feels a lot better, even parts that I didn't know were uncomfortable felt refreshed. I haven't gotten any cystic pimples, but now I get some form of acne again. I never get the stereotypical pimples, just inflamed areas on the surface of my skin that I can't feel on my face and don't hurt. I can see them and feel them with my fingers and the whole area turns whiter and if I squeeze it (I know I shouldn't) stuff comes out and they go away. They're like small mosquito bites.I've tried several different pore cleansing products and different face washes, but these keep appearing. My question is, will Salicylic acid take care of these as well as Benzoyl peroxide did? And do you think I will have similar problems with it?I bought a moisturizer with Salicylic acid in it and I'm not sure if I should use it in lieu of my current one all over my face, or just apply it to where I get these inflamed areas, because I read it can cause dryness (even though it's a moisturizer). As far as my skin type goes, I think It's combination. My forehead gets oily and the areas around my nose get pretty dry if I don't use a moisturizer.
