Can melasma be reduced by switching from oral to injectable estrogen? [Skin Concerns] [Sun Care] [transgender]

Beauty Tips For Body Care
For all you smart people out there - I'm trying to figure out a way to reduce my malasma (or what I think is melasma).I've been on hormone therapy (male to female) for nearly 1.5 years and I've started to notice the darkening of skin around my mouth and around one side of the orbital region. Will switching from oral to injectable estrogen help? I doubt that it will, but I thought it's worth asking you lovely people while I'm waiting for a dermatologist appointment (in 1 month!).I've been wearing sunscreen religiously (hello Biore Aqua Watery Essence) and rarely go out in full sun but maybe I need to double down on my efforts? Any other tips would be appreciated. For the med geeks, I'm on 6mg of estradiol daily and 12.5mg cyproterone acetate. Also posted to /r/asktransgender but I think you guys might have a better idea :P
