[Product Question] First time using 8% glycolic acid gel and it doesn't burn at all ?

It's my first time using any kind of peel and I was expecting it to burn, at least a little. But I don't feel anything at all... AT ALL. Does this mean the product is not working? My skin is not even red or anything :(The ingredients say it has: Water demineralized, Glycolic acid, Propylene glycol, Avena sative, Benzophenone 4, Hydroxyethycellulose, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Fragance, Thiethanolamine.
