[Acne] do you put on jojoba oil after a clay mask? leave it on over night?

I read online that cleansing with jojoba oil makes the oil dirty and if it is not washed off it will break you out. I used a bemtonite clay mask last night and followed up with jojoba (dabbed a warm towel to get the excess off) and woke up with a new pimple on my left side of the jaw. is this from leaving jojoba oil on without showering, or does the clay mask purge your skin? if so how long does the purging last
