Beauty Tips For Body Care
Summer after 6th grade I had a massive breakout and I mean a bad one. My mom took me to a dermatologist who told 13 year old me that it just has to "run its course" which I didn't like the idea of too much. He told me to stop taking Proactive and leave my face alone for a month. It didn't help. We go to a new dermatologist and she literally looked at me like I was the ugliest person she had ever met. I asked what do you think I could do to at least look normal for the first day of school....She actually suggested I wear makeup.Junior High and High School were awful. Periodic outbreaks were awful and I was often called "Pizza Face". I eventually gave in the summer before 9th grade and started to wear foundation everyday. It had gotten to the point where I didn't care what was on my face as long as I could somewhat bare to see myself in the mirror. This has continued ever since.I have now graduated college and get a pimple every now and again but full fledge breakouts are rare. However, my face is scarred and red. I tried glycolic acid which seemed to do some help for my forehead but my cheeks still bother me. Acne.org regimen has helped with random pimples but has done little to help elsewhere. I still wear makeup when I go out in public because I am ashamed of my scars and when I do it right you can barely tell I have scars or makeup on.Unfortunately, I was on a date when someone noticed my makeup and thought I had been "lying to them" about my true self. So now here I am, preparing to go talk to a doctor about laser resurfacing or surgery to correct these marks on my face.I really just wanted to vent and hear from others. Have you went through this? Had a procedure done?
