Beauty Tips For Body Care
I am transgender, MtF. Throughout my life I have always been told that I look between 4 to 8 years younger than I am, and I still do get seem as younger, but I feel like the age people assign me is rising faster than my actual age is?For example, on 2014 I was told that I looked about 15 years old and that my complexion was perfect, while late in 2015 I'm being assigned an age around 18 years old.I keep wondering what might be causing this. I have a few possibilities in mind:1- Stress and sleep disorders may have aged me a bit.2- In 2014, I was still presenting as male, as I kind of had to at the time. Now I "pass" perfectly as female. Maybe my skin was extremely youthful and soft compared to typical male skin, but not that amazing compared to other women, so I looked younger when presenting as male but a bit less so when presenting as female?3-Hormone replacement therapy suppressed my testosterone and provides me with estrogen. This has the effect of making skin less oily (and therefore more dry) and also thinner and more sensitive. This in turn might cause skin to look more tired, uneven, and worse in winter. I think this might also be related to how the veins under my eyes became more visible too?I can't really provide before/after pics since I never really took any of my face at the time.As for my routine, I just updated it but it's still really basic: CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser (PM) CeraVe Moisturizing Cream (AM and PM)I also exfoliate weekly with G.M. Collin Active Exfoliant Powder and sometimes use Thayer's Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel toner (the rose petal and aloe vera formula).I'm actually more interested in hearing possible reasons for this rather than product recommendations at this time, but the latter is still welcome.
