Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'm reading a book right now called Think and Grow Rich. In it Napoleon Hill talks about how his son was born nearly deaf. Despite his sons seeming flaw, Hill said he had a desire to help his son learn and thrive in this world. He talks about something that just blew my mind. He says that every flaw we have brings with it the seed of advantage. So as any acne sufferer, I asked what benefits acne brought to me.And amazingly I realized acne has changed my life - for the better. It has seriously made me consider my lifestyle. This last year I went from a binge drinking, processed food eating college kid, to the healthiest person I know. I stopped drinking and now eat a strict paleo diet. I am sure to get 8 hours of sleep a night and exercise profusely. I began to do all these things in my lifestyle to tackle my acne.Acne also taught me to be patient. It taught me that nobody in life is perfect including myself. It taught me I shouldn't have a massive ego. It taught me that if people judge me based on my looks they probably aren't good people to have around.Acne has changed my life - FOR THE BETTER. My lifestyle changes to conquer acne have worked for the most part. My skin isn't perfect but it has improved immensely. But more importantly my life has improved immensely. I'm doing better in school and am incredibly excited for my future. I think that goes hand in hand with the lifestyle changes I made to get rid of my acne.If I had perfect skin I'd still probably be getting 4 hours of sleep, drinking red bull, and eating frozen pizza 4 nights a week. I'd also probably have cut my life short by 15 years and gotten fat.Acne fucking saved me. It saved my life. And MOST importantly. When I neglect my body. When I eat processed shit. When I go get drunk or pull an all nighter - my acne comes back. And it's a constant reminder that I need to hold my lifestyle values seriously, and for that, acne is a great asset to my life. It keeps me disciplined, it keeps me humble.Stop thinking about any handicap you have as negative. You seriously don't have to. Look at how your handicaps can be used to your advantage. There are countless examples of people who didn't let a flaw get them down. Or stop them.
