[Review] Various Ole Henriksen Products

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I got an Ole Henriksen Lift & Glow set for Christmas from my fiancee. If you would like to see the ingredients you can google that set and it's still on sale on their site for 45$ I had a ton of different brand holiday sets on my wishlist, he picked this and I love most of it. It came with these five products:.25 oz/ 7 mL Ultimate Lift Eye Gel (Night) Retail: $42 1oz / 30 mL.25 oz/ 7 mL Ultimate Lift Eye Creme (Day) Retail: $42 .5oz/ 15 mL1 oz / 30 mL Sheer Transformation (Night and Day Moisturizer) Retail: $40 50g / 1.7 oz1 oz / 30 mL Pure Truth Melting Cleanser Retail: $34 4 oz / 118 mL.5 oz / 15 mL Truth Serum (Vit C) Retail: 48$ 1 oz / 30 mLMy Face: I am a white 35 yr old with very sensitive skin. My cheeks will get red. I am prone to acne, but that is now very well under control with BP wash and AHA. My forehead and cheeks are prone to drying and flaking. I can not use a foaming cleanser because of this. I have the usual amount of blackheads on the nose, they are looking much lighter as well because of the BP wash and AHA I have been using. My thoughts on each product:Ultimate Lift Eye Gel - Use sparingly. The gel can feel a little weird on the lids if you put too much. If you put just enough though, this eye gel is pretty nice. I used for a week with the daytime creme and my eyes look bright and my hairline wrinkles that only I can notice, are less noticeable to me. No strange reactions. Feels great going on, and goes on very easy.Ultimate Lift Eye Creme - This one doesn't take much either. I am using a little plastic spoon I got from Amazon on all of these products to avoid germs from my hands. This goes on beautifully, drys pretty fast, and feels really nice. The smell is minimal and fresh, much like the gelSheer Transformation - This is my least favorite of the products. I have only used it a few times. It's a good moisturizer, I would think better used for daytime, which I don't use a moisturizer in the day, I use oils. After I oil, I will use either sunscreen, or BB creme with 30 SPF if I do make up. Last time I used this moisturizer, I felt a slight tightness on my bottom cheeks. It did not end up drying me out. Maybe this is a good thing? Needless to say, it's a decent moisturizer and I will finish the jar as I have yet to find a moisturizer I really like. I make my own, but I am not very good at it. I tend to have bad reactions to moisturizers, be it allergic, or causing acne.Pure Truth Melting Cleanser - This is my favorite of the products. I have been using Hada Lobo pretty successfully, but after a week every night I have to give it a rest because even it will start to dry. I will be rotating use of this product and the Hada Lobo. Back to this product though. It is an oil cleanser that goes on dry and feels amazing. The smell is light and citrusy. I don't wear eyeliner or waterproof mascara, but it takes the make up I do wear off very easily. It feels so good. Then you add warm water to wash it off, and that feels even better. It's great to use to massage your face. It feels like you can't get it all off, but once it drys your face is not oily at all like you might suspect. I will rotate with my other cleanser as I feel using it every single night will cause my face to get too oily.Vit C Truth Serum - I love this product as well. It's a great vit C serum. The smell is light and citrusy like the cleanser. It glides on with ease and drys up really quickly which I love because oils and serums are my morning go-to's and I am always in a rush in the morning. I need them to soak in quickly so I can get the SPF on and go on about my day.Final thoughts: I knew nothing about this brand, I was just shopping high end holiday gift sets and it's all about Vit C which I do like. I am unsure that I would buy the first three products mentioned again. The eye cream is great, but I am interested in trying others. Still not sure about the moisturizer either. If I don't have something given to me, making my own is working fine. The cost of it is not worth it to me, beauty products are expensive so I have to save money where I can. The vit C serum is great and I would buy, but then again, I am curious about other products as well that could be just as good but cheaper. The cleanser will become apart of my regime for sure. I will def buy this again. It's so luxurious and being acne prone I have stayed away from oil cleansers. I was pleasantly surprised with this one, and would be too scared to invest in trying a new one.
