[ACNE] After years of trying and your help, I've finally solved my acne

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Dear Skincare Addiction,I never thought it would happen to me.I'm 27, and have had consistently awful acne, of all breeds and creeds, since I was 14. I'd describe my skin type as pale dry-oily, in a very dry climate. My skin was never damaged or scarred somehow, but until recently, I've never been without a pimple or blemish.Dermatologist pushed birth control as a teenager, which pretty much only changed the schedule of when things were their worst, but the acne was just as bad when it came. Any products I've found or been told to try by Derms made marginal, temporary improvements, if anything at all. Debated Accutane, but it really messed up my brother's skin texture-wise for years it seems.Once I discovered this subreddit and /r/asianbeauty a few years back, I gradually tried the basics. Cerave made no changes, oil cleansing made things worst, the first few Korean products were better than anything previous but only helped for the oil and dryness. I couldn't really assess if things were breaking me out because I was perpetually broken out. I was getting pretty damn depressed that I was years into 'adulthood' with teenaged skin.I figured I'd try some actives, read a bunch on here and /r/asianbeauty about how to do it safely, and picked up a drugstore cream that happened to be on sale for 30$. Then, like a really stupid plot to a movie, it just flipped a stupid switch and my stupid skin is fine three weeks later. All of my other products suddenly clicked, and the texture of my face is simply unreal all of a sudden.I feel like an idiot. I've tried hundreds of dollars worth of things, and now this cheap-ass cream comes along and invalidates all of it, and I'm not even wearing foundation and want to cry for some reason. I finally know that what works for me is an AHA, and can actually move forward with other types of AHA products. So, in conclusion, keep looking guys. Research, give things a try, be patient. Apparently magic bullets exist occasionally in the form of an ingredient your skin likes, and just works amazingly.Freaking thank you. It means the world to me.
