Beauty Tips For Body Care
25 year old female. My skin is nowhere near perfect, so it's hard to think about the progress that's been made, but when I saw the pictures side by side, I was actually quite happy. The 'after' was taken today, and the 'before' is from late December: http://imgur.com/z0k0viiSome quick background: I rarely ever had acne as a teenager, but a few months before my last birthday, I started getting huge, painful pimples all over my cheeks, probably due a mix of hormonal changes, stress, lack of exercise, and a shitty diet. It's been a little under a year since I got into skincare, and after a lot of trial and error (including getting super into Asian skincare to the point where I added 8 new products into my routine at once - the results were not pretty), I finally found a routine that works for me. I've listed the steps, and then the products, because the products change day to day based on what I need. Some days, I'll skip my acid toners and go straight from cleansing to moisturizing, depending on how my skin's feeling. Since starting tretinoin, I rarely get big, inflamed pimples like I used to, so my primary concerns are the remaining dark spots and some redness. In addition to my skincare routine, I've also made dietary changes like cutting out milk, drastically reducing sugar, and taking supplements like fish oil and primrose oil.Morning:-Cleanse [Drunk Elephant Juju bar OR Biologique Recerche lait u]-Tone [Biologique Recerche p50]-Treatment [Drunk Elephant C-Firma]-Moisturize [Drunk Elephant b hydra]-Sunscreen [Trader Joe's Enrich spf 15]Evening:-Cleanse [Clinique cleansing balm OR Drunk Elephant Pekee bar]-Tone [Paula's Choice skin perfecting liquid OR BR p50]-Moisturizer [Drunk Elephant b hydra]-Treatment [Curology - Tretinoin .018%, clindamycin 1%, azelaic acid 8%]-Oil if dry [Acure rosehip oil]1-2 nights a week, I'll use Drunk Elephant TLC night serum in place of curology. I love my curology formula, but once in a while I get really stubborn spots that won't budge without the night serum - it's my best skincare purchase to date and has done wonders for brightening and evening out my skintone.
