[Product Question] Might be a stupid question but - what is a moisturizer supposed to feel like on your skin? How do I know when I've found the right moisturizer?

Are you supposed to be able to feel the moisturizer on your skin all day? My moisturizer (FAB Ultra Hydrating) sits like a film on my skin all day long. I originally started using it upon recommendation from a friend that works at Sephora, to help with my bad acne and redness, and it does calm down my irritated skin a lot, better than anything else has. I used to be okay with it but now that I'm focused on reducing the appearance of my pores, I feel like it may be contributing to the problem. Is this accurate, is over-moisturizing a thing that can contribute to that? How do I know when I've found the right moisturizer and what is a good moisturizer supposed to feel like?
