Beauty Tips For Body Care
TL;DR - can't use chemical exfoliants, closed comedones going crazy, looking for the safest way to physically exfoliate.I've tried exfoliants like the Paula's Choice BHA/AHA, the Alpha Hydrox AHAs... None seem to work for me even after I give them a couple months. I have pretty sensitive skin so finding products that work is tough. I used to exfoliate with a little bit of coconut oil and white sugar (don't know how bad that is... I was gentle). That actually worked pretty well. I also used honey for a while cause it was a bit granulated. I stopped doing those things cause I was concerned about damaging my skin in the long run.Okay so fast forward about a year to today, I haven't been exfoliating at all really. I was put on Spironolactone about a month ago and my dermatologist told me that once I started seeing results she would start me on Tretinoin. So while I'm waiting to start that I have kind of been neglecting exfoliating. I don't really want to introduce a new product since I'll be starting Tretinoin soon, but is there any way to safely physically exfoliate? I know it's not generally recommended here but it seems like my only option right now and the closed comedones are gettin WILD.What do you guys think? What's the safest way to physically exfoliate without irritating my skin or causing some kind of long term damage? If it matters, my routine right now is just Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser (creamy), Clindamycin Gel, and Clinique DDML.Any help would be so great!
