[skin concerns] looking for advice on how to prevent hyperpigmentation after an allergic reaction caused my face to go crazy

Beauty Tips For Body Care
my face looks like this now. I used a lotion that had an ingredient in it that it turned out i am allergic to. The day i had the reaction my face became extremly swollen and burned. I wound up at the er and was treated for the allergy. Once the swelling went down and the burning stopped my skin started to darken and became really leathery. I went to the dermatologist the next day and was prescribed triamcinolone acetonide cream usp 0.1% to be applied twice a day. I've been using that for three days now. The dark spots have completly dried up and are starting to peel off. The skin underneath is really pink. The dermatologist I saw told me that there is no way for me to know if my skin will scar or not. He said that it looked like a mix of leaking pigment and broken capillaries causing the darkness. He said i just have to wait until my skin heals then if it darkens and i have hyperpigmentation he will treat me for it (he said we'd have to do a chemical peel) but that he cant perscribe anything to prevent the hyperpigmentation. Im wondering if you guys have any advice on what i can do in the mean time to lessen the changes of my skin becomming hyperpigmented. The skin is peeling as you can see in some of the pics and the skin underneath is pink. Is it a bad idea to buy some over the counter stuff that has hydroquinone in it to use preemptively? I would ask my dermatologist buy apparently he's at some stupid comference and wont be back for another week.
