[skin concerns] I have this one problem pore that always goes through cycles of inflammation. Is there anything I can do about it?

Hi everyone. I have this one pore, or hair follicle perhaps that goes through cycles of inflammation. It'll be flat and skin tone one day, then bulge out and turn red overnight. I have no idea what causes it, and it's been here for as long as I can remember.Has anyone experienced this before? Any thoughts on treating it?
