[Skin Concerns] [Sun Care] I'm confused about the conflicting info on the effectiveness of SPF in makeup!

I've searched through this subreddit and I can't seem to get a definitive answer... Does combining makeup with SPF render the sunscreen useless?Asking because I regularly use Maybelline dream fresh BB cream, which contains SPF 30. Can I get away with just that? Or do I still need an additional sunscreen?
