[Routine Help] should I apply salicylic acid before a mud mask?

I've read a few pages that say to apply it first to start working on the dirt in your pores therefore making the mud mask work better. Does this method work better than doing salicylic acid after the mud mask? If I wait about twenty minutes after applying salicylic acid and before doing the mud mask, will the salicylic acid have enough time to work? I plan on applying salicylic acid, doing a mud mask, than OCM and cerave cleanser. I want to make sure the salicylic acid actually has time to work and won't simply be washed away after the mud mask. Thanks!
