Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'm allergic to propylene glycol, so I try to avoid anything that even has the word propylene in the ingredients list. It's been working out so far, but there's a foundation I want to try because - I know this sounds stupid - the current foundation I'm using isn't rated nicely in the Beautypedia.I'm currently using Lingerie De Peau by Guerlain, but I'm not sure if I'm really wow'd? Maybe I'm just bad at applying makeup. It's also expensive, so there's that.I'm looking at two foundations, Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup by Estee Lauder and Face & Body Liquid Makeup by Make Up For Ever, but the second foundation is recommended for dry to slightly oil skin. I think I have pretty oily skin, despite having eczema? I'd probably use the latter when I'm having flare ups on my face, but my face has been good recently.I really want to try the Estee Lauder foundation, but it has propylene carbonate. A blogger, who's also allergic to propylene glycol, said her dermatologist stated the two are different, but she avoids the carbonate anyway because it's derived from the glycol.Do you guys think it'd be alright to try the Estee Lauder foundation? Or should I just go with the Make Up For Ever one. I have a feeling my dermatologist will say the same thing, that the two compounds or whatever are different and there shouldn't be a problem. I'm just scared because eczema on the face sucks.Anyone allergic to propylene glycol ever tried the Estee Lauder foundation? Or something with the carbonate?TLDR; I'm allergic to propylene glycol and I want to try a new foundation that has propylene carbonate, which is derived from the glycol. Safe or not?
