[Skin Concerns] Dark Red Splotches on Chin/Corners of the Mouth and Sides of the Nose

Beauty Tips For Body Care
This is my first time creating a post so I apologize for any mistakes or blunders, but I'm getting really desperate here.About a couple months ago I started developing dark red splotches on the corners of my mouth, chin, and sides of my nose. They don't hurt, sting, or itch but they do occasionally get flaky, like after a shower without moisturizing right afterwards. If I don't wear makeup (which is usually just a light layer of foundation and concealer) people ask me what's wrong with my face and I start to get really self conscious. It's taking a big hit on my self esteem.I'm not a big fan of self diagnoses unless it's very obvious, but I googled it anyways, trying to be as specific as I could, and as far as I can tell it's not rosacea, eczema, rash, or psoriasis. It might be perioral or seborrheic dermatitis but I don't have the small pus bumps (perioral) or the scaliness (seborrheic)??My routine: I use a 2% salicylic acid face scrub every other day for the occasional zit and a daily moisturizer, but I recently just ordered a small tube of aloe vera cream due to a lot of good recommendations. My skin type: I fluctuate skin types depending on the season, dry and flaky in the fall and winter, and oily in the summertime. I have good genetics and have never had a problem like this before. My diet: disgusting. Absolutely gross, and I'm beginning to think this is maybe part of the problem. I started half a year ago at a new job working full-time in a coffee shop that rhymes with "Cartrucks", so I am constantly surrounded by sweet pastries and sugary lattes. I end up eating them everyday due to their convenience. I'm also lactose intolerant, but I do drink some cow's milk (and end up paying for it later on the toilet). I love to cook but I don't have much time or money to always cook every meal, but I'm getting better at it.One last thing (sorry for the long post) I started to get these blotches around the same time I stopped taking my birth control pills, which were the 28 day combination progestin/estrogen pills. I stopped because I didn't like how they were making me emotional/angry all the time. It's been 3-4 months since I've stopped taking my birth control pills, but I've been thinking about going back on them again anyway. At this point I'm mostly certain the problem/solution lies in my diet and hormones. The only other place I was able to find someone with the same exact problem was here (http://www.acne.org/messageboard/topic/354075-dark-red-around-nose-mouth-and-chin/)Here are a couple pictures I took a couple hours ago, ignore the zits, it's PMS acne.
