[Product Question] Vaseline saved my ultra-sensitive facial skin - can I use mineral oil for similar results on my body?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I have had extremely sensitive skin for my entire life. I have always had trouble finding products that don't cause reactions for me. At the best of times I feel like my skin is always on the edge of having a reaction. It feels fragile dry and irritated. I also have some (not super serious) eczema. My facial skin is combo, but my body skin is dry. After lurking/nerding out here for a while I decided to give in and try using Vaseline on my face at night (I apply it after Cerave PM, which has been my moisturiser alone for a long time) and the results after a couple of months have been crazy. My skin feels normal. It is soft, feels hydrated, not paper-thin or irritated, and it no longer gets irritated easily. Also it has made my sebaceous filaments less visible which makes my pores look smaller, which is a nice bonus :)I would love to extend these results to my body skin, particularly my forearms and legs which are the driest and where I have the most irritation because of hair removal, but I don't think I can stand (/afford) to slather myself in Vaseline. I'm going into Spring/Summer now though which means a lot of shaving and potential irritation and I'd love to prevent that somehow. Can I use mineral oil in some way on my body? How would I do this? Can I use it as an occlusive, like I do with the Vaseline, or should I apply it in another way? Is this even safe/a good idea?My current body routine is a soap-free cleanser (that I also use for shaving) and La Roche Posay Lipikar body lotion, which I'm actually not a fan of but I bought the big bottle so I'm gonna use it up.I have a few bottles of mineral oil from iHerb in the mail and I'm open to any suggestions.
