[Skin concerns] Having some kind of irritation on my lips. Not sure where it came from, suspecting allergy to lip balm. Any opinions based on how it looks?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Sorry in advance if this isn't the appropriate thread to post this in, but it was the best I could think of.Pics of my lips. The pictures don't show the bottom lip very well, but that's actually what has been worse, or at least where it started. The top might be slightly worse now. This situation started about a week ago, and it first appeared as one raw, slightly swollen spot on my bottom lip. I originally thought I was subconsciously chewing it in that spot because two of my friends died last week and I had been very stressed out about it. I was putting ice on it, but it didn't really help. Then, I noticed the irritation had spread to my upper lip as little bumps and I became very confused. Now the inner edge of my top and bottom lips are both irritated pretty much all the way across. Sometimes it feels like there may be very small bumps and possibly blisters. Yesterday there was definitely a slight taste of blood (which is still there I guess), and it got to the point where if I turn my bottom lip all the way out, it feels like the skin is being stretched and could crack on parallel lines on either side of the lip.I am suspecting that I am having a reaction to the Nivea "A Kiss of Milk and Honey" lip balm. I have had it for quite a while, but I rarely use it because I have found it to be not as "hydrating" as good ol' Cherry Chapstick. Recently I ran out of one of my Cherry Chapsticks (I keep them all over the place for convenience), and I have been using this Nivea one in my place. Of course, all week I have been using it to make it feel better, possibly making it worse.I have stopped using it and have been using medicated Chapstick since last night. I have never had a reaction to a lip balm that I can think of, but I am very loyal to Chapstick brand so I haven't tried a lot of others. I am somewhat concerned that this irritation is being caused my something else, like HSV-1, aka oral herpes, but I got tested a few years ago and I was completely negative for all types of herpes tested, even though it is very common to have HSV-1 and my dad has it. I haven't kissed anyone new since I got tested, so I doubt that I picked it up. I don't think it really looks like cold sores, but I guess it's possible.tl;dr: Lip irritation developed over the week, starting as an isolated spot of irritation on bottom lip and eventually spreading to both lips. Not sure if it is an allergic reaction or cause by something else.
