Beauty Tips For Body Care
My favourite sunscreens in terms of texture and cosmetic elegance are the Biore Watery Essence/Gel sunscreens + LRP's Ultra Light Fluid and the Aquagel (European). I've posted about them here. It is absolutely imperative that I use cosmetically elegant sunscreens with light textures - it encourages me to be meticulous and use SS on a daily basis, because I cbf with the thick/goopy/greasy stuff.L'oreal has a "UV Perfect" line that is only available in Asia and India. I've reviewed things from this line before (like the City Face Mist, which I reviewed in my other post). This line has other good sunscreens, like the Aqua Essence and the Transparent Skin (you can see them here), but none of them really compare to my favourite Biore and LRP sunscreens. They're okay... just not that good.Anyway, a new product in the line called the 'City Resist' was launched, and I came across it in a store the other day. They had a tester, and I tried it...It fucking slayed my life. The texture and the the cosmetic elegance of it just blew Biore and LRP out of the water. I don't think they can even compare. It is so fluid, so spreadable, and literally dissolves into your skin like sugar dissolves in tea. And because it's a L'oreal product, it also contains Mexoryl filters, making it far more photostable and giving it a higher PPD than anything from the Biore range. I can't believe I'm actually saying this, but I'm done buying Biore and LRP stuff - this is now my HG.Here's the list of filters (grabbed them off the box):Octinoxate, Tinosorb S, Mexoryl XL, Uvinul A Plus, Tinosorb M, Uvinul T 150As an added bonus, it also contains Hyaluronic Acid, Shea Butter Extract and other emollients, so it can function as a daytime moisturiser. It also contains a significant amount of antioxidants, including the Indian gooseberry or Amla (Phyllanthus emblica). It's rated SPF50+ and PA++++ and I can't find a PPD rating for it, but I'll update this post if I do. You can check it out here.
