So I have PCOS and have been on 100mg of Spironolactone for the past year. This took a while to start working, but when it finally did it was great and I had almost completely clear skin for about 6 months. For the past three months though my skin has gradually got worse and worse, and the huge cysts have started returning. I'm so sick of having acne and thinking that it's over only to have it pop back up later, so I am thinking that perhaps it's time to finally bring out the big guns and go onto Accutane. My question is, is it ok to use Accutane and Spiro at the same time? I like the spiro for other PCOS side effects. Or should I see if I can up my spiro dosage and see if that helps? I just don't want to spend the next few months waiting to see if that works only to have it fail and I wish that I had finally gotten around to taking Accutane.
