[Routine Help] Do I need to wait after applying AHA/BHA to moisturize?

I know that the pH of AHAs & BHAs need to be at a certain low level for it to work and I'm thinking that moisturizers have a regular higher pH. I'm not sure how the layering of products work wrt pH levels and if moisturizers change the level of the stuff under it. Additionally, if I wash my face with a cleanser of pH 5.5 and then I use Sunday Riley UFO (unsure of what the pH is but it has salicylic acid in it), how will the pH of my face change? Won't my face be at the pH level of 5.5? I'm a little confused :(
