[Routine Help] Tried CeraVe PM, CeraVe in the tub, and PC Invisible Finish Moisture Gel. Now what?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi all,I've been having a hard time finding the right moisturizer for me and I hope you can help - I'm so frustrated! For a while, I used Cetaphil's Daily Moisturizer twice per day which was working well. But I do find it to be a little greasy and it has SPF 15 - which isn't high enough to protect my skin, but is probably the culprit of the occasional pimples and the unbearable greasiness I used to experience. So I decided to either find a different moisturizer entirely or at least switch to one without SPF for nighttime.I guess I have combination skin? While using the Cetaphil 2x/day, I was mostly unbearably greasy. But now that I've been experimenting with other moisturizers, my T-Zone can get very oily but my cheeks/jawline get dry.So far, I've tried the following with the following results:CeraVe PM - not moisturizing enough. My face felt suddenly tight after cleansing with the CeraVe foaming facial cleanser, something I never really experienced when I was moisturizing day and night with the Cetaphil. However, I heard that the foaming cleanser can be harsh, so I recently switched to the hydrating cleanser which my skin seems to like. But I don't think this moisturizer would be enough for me regardless. I returned it.CeraVe in the tub - burned! I hated the way this one felt. The drier areas of my face felt stingy and between the time I applied it and the time it eventually sunk in, my face felt suffocated - like my skin literally couldn't breathe. I also started developing this weird bumpy texture along my chin and the surrounding jaw area that hasn't gone away yet - almost like a bunch of closed comedomes, but there are no visible whiteheads. Just bumpiness. (Edit: here is a picture). This is definitely becoming a body lotion for me.Paula's Choice Invisible Moisture Gel - such a wonderful matte finish and I LOVED how soft and silky it made my skin feel! Unfortunately, this one also wasn't moisturizing enough. I bought some of the sample packets and while packets of other products would last me a few applications each, I used a full sample size of this product at a time and my skin still felt tight and itchy. Last night, I caved and put the Cetaphil on over it which offered relief.Since my skin seems to like Cetaphil, I was thinking about using their body moisturizer (which others here have likened to CeraVe in the tub and say is safe to use on the face). Unfortunately, my best guess is that the suffocating feeling I got from CeraVe in the tub was probably from the petrolatum, which Cetaphil's tub version also has. They have a non-SPF moisturizer for the face but it's described as "lightweight," so I'm not sure it would be enough for my skin. What would be the most logical next product for me to try? I've heard great things here about Vanicream for those who had trouble with CeraVe so I may decide to try it, and I have samples of the PC Resist Barrier Repair with Retinol coming in the mail soon. If these don't work I'm going to be really disappointed. My routine for those curious:AMRinse with cool water or cleanse with CeraVe hydrating cleanser, depending on how face feelsPaula's Choice Pore Reducing Toner (this actually feels calming and hydrating so I know it's not the culprit of my suddenly combo skin)MoisturizePMCleanse with CeraVe hydrating cleanserPaula's Choice Pore Reducing TonerPaula's Choice Calm Redness Relief 1% BHA lotion (every other day)Wait 10-20 minutes, moisturizeSorry for the super long post. At this point I'm just getting desperate. I hope someone has some advice! :)
