Beauty Tips For Body Care
Newbie here needing some advice. My HG sunscreen is SkinCeuticals Physical Fusion SPF 50. I had to kiss a lot of sunscreen frogs to find my sunscreen prince, so I’m reluctant to change it.Buuut I read this Consumer Reports sunscreen article that ranked it just “fair” for UVA protection. (I know there’s been some debate on SCA about CR’s testing methods because they put subjects in a dunk tank before testing the UVB coverage, but from what I can tell, they did the UVA testing without exposure to water, so those results are closer to everyday use.) Dermatology Resident Elyse Love (of ITG fame) also backed away from physical sunscreens and cites CR and other studies as the reason. If I’m going through the hassle of putting on sunscreen everyday, “fair” won’t cut it.So I’m on my sunscreen quest AGAIN. MEGA UGH. My criteria is to find a sunscreen with a gold-star chemical UVA blocker (maybe Mexoryl or Tinosorb) that’s lightweight but low alcohol or alcohol-free and not full of fragrances n stuff. Is this a total unicorn?
