[Acne] ScA beginner routine greatly reduced the frequency of my pimples, but now closed comedones have surfaced

Hey everyone, I am a newbie when it comes to taking care of my skin. I have normal/slightly oily sensative skin. I have always had mild acne; mostly in the form of whiteheads and pimples. 2 months ago I started using Cerave foaming face wash and Neutrogena oil-free moisturizer for sensitive skin. I no longer get any pimples but I have gotten a lot of closed comedones that don't seem to go away. I have been using Paula's Choice 2% BHA for the past 2 weeks after reading some posts on here but have not noticed any reduction. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
