Beauty Tips For Body Care
I've been trying out some of The Ordinary's products for the past few weeks. Shipping from Deciem to Rural New Zealand took about 8 days from when I placed my order, but I never received shipping confirmation or a tracking number. For reference, my skin type is Dry, Acne prone, and sometimes Dehydrated. I'm 20 years old, female, and my biggest skin concerns are my redness and uneven skin tone, as well as PIH. I have been using the products in conjunction with Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, Paulas choice liquid AHA (8%), Paulas choice liquid BHA (25), Cerave Moisturizing Cream, and It's Skin 2pm Sunscreen.Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%: As many people have mentioned before on this sub, the texture of this is weirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrd. It is gritty, and I find I need to pat it in gently otherwise it balls up on my face. I don't like applying anything over this, so I apply it after the rest of my skincare, every second night. For some reason I can't apply it on the red areas around my nose, as it stings and itches, but otherwise I don't have any irritation from this product. My skin has become brighter from using this, and my PIH is fading much faster now. I think if I had the money I would opt for a more pricey Vit C, because the texture isn't very nice to apply, but this is really all I can afford for now, and it is worth it because of the results!Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%: This is a watery gel-like consistency that spreads evenly but remains a little sticky after applying, but once I apply moisturizer over top I don't notice. I have only used this product for about two weeks, on the nights I don't use the Vit C serum, and the most visible difference is the reduction in my PIH. I had a massive purge a couple of months ago after incorporating a BHA into my routine, and I am the worst at picking pimples so I was left with bad PIH, but this is seriously helping a lot! I highly recommend.Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG: This is a gel like formula, which absorbs quickly under the eyes. I find it slightly cooling and refreshing, so I like applying it. I haven't however noticed any difference in the month that I've been using it. I don't think my dark circles/hollows can be helped with skincare as they are hereditary and have been there my whole life. However, if this could reduce fine lines under my eyes, I would be extremely impressed. I think I'll wait until I've used up the bottle (that will be a long time away as I use such a small amount) to decide if I will be repurchasing this one."Buffet": This is a multi-peptide serum to target multiple signs of aging. This is another watery gel-like formula, which spreads easily and absorbs quickly. It leaves my skin feeling feeling slightly dry after applying, but I go in with my moisturizer afterwards, so it's no issue. Honestly, I'm not sure why I bought this. I think I just read about the peptides and thought "Hey that sounds cool". I really have no issues with aging yet, although I'd like to prevent aging as much as I can. I can't tell you if this is making a difference yet. I did read on Paula's Choice that peptides are degraded from air and light exposure, and this serum is kept in a clear glass dropper bottle.. This may be something to think about if you are wanting to purchase this product. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful!
