Beauty Tips For Body Care
For ages I have gone through a cycle of breaking out, it clearing up, having great skin, then breaking out again. It was so frustrating because I didn't understand how someone could have good AND bad skin.I used to think that hormonal acne = spots on your chin and jawline, but since I hardly ever get chin spots I figured that it wasn't related to my hormones. For some stupid reason, it has taken me AGES to work out that my pores clog the week before my period, and then the week OF my period all the clogged pores turn into spots. I've read about the 'Luteal stage' or whatever, which is where, the week before your period, you produce less estrogen and more progesterone, and so your skin clogs more easily. It makes total sense to me now, because clogged pores are exactly what I was getting, not full on zits.So I've reached a point where I realise I need to DO something extra during the week before my period, I need to exfoliate more. But how much? How much is too much?AM routine: cleanse with Sukin cream cleanser, tone with Sukin toner, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide serum, moisturiser with SPF 30PM routine: remove makeup with micellar water, cleanse with Sukin cream cleanser, alternate between Sukin toner (gentle) or Nip+Fab Glycolic Night Pads Extreme, Vitamin C serum, salicylic acid serum, moisturise. My thoughts so far are during the PMS week I could: physically exfoliate every other day, use my Dermalogica Medibac Salicylic acid face wash (for oily skin, I have dry skin apart from on my period), or use the Nip+Fab pads every day of that week.I just don't know whether I should do ALL of those things, or just one or the other, I'm not sure which is best.I'd appreciate any advice from anyone who has managed to 'conquer' PMS skin!!
