Beauty Tips For Body Care
I'm in need of some help. I've been doing YouTube for about 3 years now, and this year my channel has basically exploded. I would very much love for it to stay anonymous, but I'm getting roughly 8 million views per month and love everything about it. Except for the fact that I would LOVE to be able to show myself on camera more often and make videos much more, but I cannot beat acne.I'm a 22 year old guy, and I've had acne since middle school honestly. Just constant breakouts my entire life with a handful of weeks where I wouldn't see pimples. It sucks, it prevents so many social interactions and stuff in my life and I just want to not have to worry about it anymore. It's the single most crippling thing in my entire life.Anyways, here's the info about my skin.Right now my skin is almost always dry, yet oily with large sebaceous filaments and oily at the end of the day. It stays somewhat red (rosacea maybe?), and when compared to the skin on my arms or chest it's painfully obvious. I think I get about 5-10 new pimples a day, some being smaller than others. It has gotten much worse in the last couple years though I swear. The skin on my face doesn't even feel like the skin on the rest of my body, it's always rough and dry/oily and flaky. Doesn't feel like I have a moisture barrier.I am now getting really bad acne on my back (constant feeling of grits) and neck, as well as on my jawline and chest. Basically, all over my body. This is in addition to dandruff in my hair and eyebrows which I don't ever remember having this bad before. My nose is ugly and has the appearance of big s.f. and I have tried so many different things that I don't know how to even approach the situation now. What I've triedI've been to 2 dermatologists in the area, both were nightmares. One just prescribed benzoyl peroxide and Differin which stained all of my clothes, gave me horrible redness, all while doing nothing for my acne. The other derm prescribed Amoxicillin which I took for 6 months and had no results but holy hell when I got off I had the worst breakouts of my life.I've tried many cleansers (Cerave foaming, Cetaphil gentle and foaming, using just water, salt water, cleansing with konjac sponge, as well as the OCM.) They all work but nothing cures acne. So I also try other things to beat the acne. Salicylic acid does nothing..the Stridex in red box seems to just give a tingling feeling and that's about it. I've tried clay masks and vaseline which haven't given me any results either. Seems like no matter what I do, the pimples eventually come back. How do I try to fix this?I'm currently cleansing with Cetaphil gentle at night and moisturizing with Argan Oil, and have new pimples popping up daily. I switch my pillowcases often, and wash my sheets once a week. I don't use harsh chemicals or hot water on my face and lately my skin has felt very "flakey." Not like dry flakey, like oily flakey if that makes sense. I can't get a derm appointment for about 3 months so I'm not even considering that again (especially considering the mess the first two got me in) and it seems like there's a hundred things I can pay to try with no guarantee it will work. I feel like I have to kill acne from the inside out almost considering it's all over my body now. How do I approach this situation with my skin type, any possible advice? It's not only affecting my social life and confidence, but my job as well. I hate waking up with horrible skin knowing I will look terrible in a video. It stresses me out like crazy.
