Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hi there!Wanting to buy a retinol product due to sun damage and getting fairly worried about wrinkles. I have heard that retinol is the product to go for. Everyone on this subreddit suggests The Ordinary's Retinol 1% product so I went on their website, then found this under the description:"EU Shipping Note: We are able to ship this product within the European Union. However, please note that the Scientific Committee on Consumer Safety has published an opinion on April 20, 2016 suggesting that Retinol content of cosmetics should be limited to 0.3% as summarized on page 67 of the publication listed below. While this opinion has not yet affected regulatory restrictions, it may in the near future and such restriction would apply to all products sold within the EU containing Retinol. We recommend considering Advanced Retinoid 2% from The Ordinary if you are concerned about use of Retinol products."Makes me think that Retinol is dangerous for you? I have read on some other websites that it can cause cancer? How true is this? I mean, even if it elevates your risk ever so slightly, I wouldn't want to touch the stuff. So on their website, The Ordinary says that if you are worried, you should get the Retinoid 2% but I am concerned that this isn't strong enough to help reduce the impact of skin damage as well as the Retinol 1% would. They say on their website that the Retinoid 2% is better for anti-aging but how true is this?In summary...in 1% Retinol risky and would the Retinoid 2% give good/better anti-agining (due to sun damage) results than 1% retinol? Thanks guys!
