[product question] Has anyone successfully stopped antibiotics without acne returning?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Minocycline and Epiduo REALLY helped my skin out- my rx for minocycline ran out after being on it for 3 or 4 months and I assumed that was the end of the treatment. Less than a week later and my skin broke out horribly- legit had a pimple on my neck and inside of my ear!I called my derm and the nurse practitioner (I think) gave me a new rx for 3 more months. I voiced my concern that I obviously can't be on an antibiotic forever and if there were other alternatives to transition to and she assured me that it's fine to use antibiotics for long periods of time. I'm obviously not a doctor and please correct me if I'm wrong but don't believe that's accurate advice.Long story short, has anyone successfully gotten off antibiotics and if you did- was it from slowly weening off the antibiotic, introducing something else like spiro, or adding a topical product?Pleaseee lemme know because I'm not trying to be on minocycline for the next 30 years. Also if this applies to anyone- epiduo is no longer covered by my insurance (which legit covers everything and is amazing) due to the fact that differin is sold OTC. My insurance is now only approving the individual components of epiduo (adapaline .3 and benzoyl 2.5) but not the pre mixed brand name. My derm said to mix equal parts of the adap and benzoyl. I'm worried that I won't mix equal parts properly (ocd af) and it won't work the same. Does anyone have any experience with replacing epiduo with the individual ingredients?
