[skin concerns] [trigger warning] Tried everything for my acne, scars, hyper pigmentation, clogged pores...and all are worsened by chronic picking of skin.

Beauty Tips For Body Care
Skin type: acne-prone, CONSTANTLY oily, flakey, and generally very angry all the timeSkin concerns: I have fought an endless battle with clogged pores, oily skin, acne, blackheads, scars, and hyper pigmentation. I have tried many things including Accutane, Curology, Stridex pads, retinol, etc. I did see a dermatologist not long ago, and she prescribed the retinol and a bleaching cream I couldn't afford.Routine: AM: Wash with CeraVe foaming facial cleanser Moisturize with CeraVe in the tub Sunscreen (Etude house Sun Milk) Mederma AG toner (sometimes)PM: Repeat the above, minus sunscreen. If I'm wearing makeup, I'll use I'm Cleaning Oil #2 before all other steps.Product concerns: my skin seems to get very flakey and my foundation looks terrible when I don't use a BHA toner (although I've never tried a cleanser with BHA). I used to use the Pixi Glow toner, but it was too expensive online and my Target was out of stock, so I tried the Mederma AG. I hate it, presumably because the main ingredient is alcohol, but my skin looks and feels so horrible when I don't use it. I use it sparingly because it makes my face burn. Sigh. For recommendations: I live in the U.S. And I usually hesitate to spend more than $15 on a single product, but this is mostly because none of them have worked thus far.*regarding the skin picking: I was recently diagnosed with mild OCD which, upon reflection, I've definitely suffered from my whole life. One of the worst affectations of this for me is skin picking and nail biting. I do plan on seeing a psychiatrist as soon as is financially possible, but I really think that improving my skin will vastly curb my compulsion to pick.
