[Sun Care] Thoughts on EWG's UVA/UVB energy transmission estimates (for sunscreen)?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
EWG's sunscreen guide isn't terribly popular around here, but the only gripe I've encountered concerns their ingredient safety ratings, not their actual SPF/UV protection estimates. For those who aren't familiar with their guide, here's their review of a sunscreen I purchased about a week ago (EltaMD UV Clear), which they panned, stating:EWG estimates the SPF of this product to be much less than the advertised value.andBased on our modeling this product provides POOR UVA protection and a POOR balance of UVA protection in relation to the SPF.That was enough to convince me to purchase a better reviewed sunscreen instead (which, happily, was very cheap), but I'm disappointed, because the EltaMD sunscreen was expensive and it seemed to work well with my skin. Here's a summary of their testing methodology. Can anyone speak to its validity? Thanks!
