Beauty Tips For Body Care
For some background, I used to get cystic chin acne all the time since I was 16. They're horrible. Deep rooted, painful, 3-D, take forever to heal, and quite positively impossible to fully cover! I also had the odd pimple here and there but the painful cystic bumps were only ever on and around the chin. I had maybe only one week per month free of chin demons. Aside from that, those painful bumps are either always growing, grown, or healing 2-3 at a time. Then I went to the doctors and was put on Akamin, an antibiotic that treats acne. The chin demons were reduced to about 1 or 2 every month but I still got them, especially after my dose was reduced over time.A few months ago, I went overseas. The bottle cap of my Cetaphil cleanser was broken so the entire thing pretty much exploded in my checked luggage. I was very on the go and, more or less, pretty lazy so I didn't get another cleanser. Lo and behold. Spotless skin for the entire 2 weeks. Surely, this must be a fluke? I suspect my chin is getting ready to betray me any moment now.Once I returned home, being the lazy sloth that I am, I still wasn't bothered to replace my cleanser. And the spotless perfect skin continued...It's been about two months now. Two months of ZERO cystic acne. I'd really started to resign myself to the fact that the painful chin demons were going to be a part of my life forever before this so this was such a shock and welcome relief.I'm thinking now that I am either allergic/sensitive to something in the Cetaphil cleanser (which I never suspected since it's apparently gentle and non-comedogenic), or I have dehydrated skin (instead of combination skin as I'd previously assumed) that just can't handle a cleanser.Right now, I am only using snail repair cream, a snail ampoule, moisturiser, some odd creams here and there and the occasional face mask. My skin is spotless and glowing. Barely even any normal pimples. I remove my makeup with an oil-based makeup remover and/or baby wipes.I hope this can help someone or is an interesting read at least! Maybe I'm going to be yelled at for committing the grave sin of removing cleanser from my routine? Maybe one's mindset could be about what to remove from your routine instead of what to add to it? Who knows, but I'm super duper stoked!
