Beauty Tips For Body Care
So this article was included in a comment on a post I made the other day about how pore strips are only damaging if you ignore the instructions:http://kindofstephen.com/why-your-dermatologist-or-that-sales-person-may-not-know-what-a-sebaceous-filament-is/The article explains how there is barely any difference between blackheads and sebaceous filaments, it's a term that's very rarely used outside of skincare forums such as this, and that the very slight difference that does exist doesn't matter because removal is the same anyway. I thought this was a really interesting read and one I should share as this sub really does cling onto "information" it is given without fact checking which is very dangerous, especially when you are dealing with chemicals like the ones we use on our skin. Another example of this is the idea that chemical exfoliants must be left on for 20 minutes before any other products are used to work properly when there's nothing to suggest this or even that they work better if you do that.Anyway this is an interesting read and also touches on the fact that there's nothing to suggest that, if used correctly (following the instructions that people seem to ignore), pore strips cause any damage. This sub should be about scientific information, not what the most upvoted comment says is true.Edit: corrected spelling
