Beauty Tips For Body Care
I've been using this routine for maybe six-nine months, and it has been working pretty well for me, but I am wondering if there is anything more effective I could be doing or if any of the products I'm using aren't meant to be used together. I am 29 and live in the United States.I welcome any analysis or suggestions! This community is what got me thinking about skincare seriously in the first place!((pic here, right at the end of my morning routine, before makeup)Skin type: leans dry, especially on my cheeksSkin concerns:- ACNE/PIH: I had a bout of bad cystic acne on my lower cheeks for about a year, starting when I was 27. I think I have now figured out that it was caused by taking biotin pills (I can tell that story in comments if anyone cares.) In that year, I started seeing a derm again and concocted this routine. The acne is gone, and I have some lingering PIH on my lower cheeks. - FLAKING: Before I started this routine, I was prone to flaking on my cheeks, under my foundation, by the end of the workday. - REDNESS: I have always had some slight redness/blotchiness on my lower cheeks. I won't be surprised if that's the way it's going to be forever, but if anyone has a suggestion for evening out my skin tone so I don't feel like I ALWAYS need foundation I would be so grateful!PM ROUTINE (I shower at night) 1. Oil cleanser (DHC) -get in the shower- 2. Cerave foaming cleanser -get out of the shower- 3. Ziana, then wait 5-10 min 4. Paula's Choice niacinamide booster 5. Paula's Choice Calm Redness Relief serum 6. Benton's Snail Bee High Content CreamAM ROUTINE 1. Pixi Glow Tonic (applied with my hands) 2. Paula's Choice 2% BHA Skin Perfecting liquid (applied with my hands) 3. Then I wait a few minutes and wipe my face with a warm washcloth. 4. Paula's Choice Vitamin C booster 5. Paula's Choice Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum 6. Benton's snail cream again 7. Biore Watery Essence SPFFor makeup, I alternate and mix up some primers, and use a Maybelline green concealer stick and Wet n Wild Come Correct concealer on my redness, and then Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Liquid 24H Longwear SPF 15 Foundation.I am nearly out of the Pixi Glow Tonic, and would welcome suggestions as to whether I should repurchase that or try a different AHA.I also am not married to the Benton cream or even the concept of a snail cream, if anyone has another moisturizer suggestion with effective ingredients. I just would say that regular face lotions are not moisturizing enough for me, and I need a cream.I am not sure the Paula's Choice Calm serum is doing anything for my redness if anyone has an alternative suggestion. Thank you!
