Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey SCA! i've started getting rather concerned about my skin, so was hoping i could get some advice or guidance on what i should do. I started looking into new skincare about 2 months ago. My skin was rather dry/flaky/lacklustre/dull/tight after cleansing, so thought i should do something about it. I added in the Cerave hydrating cleanser and Cerave in a tub (as this looked like a good starting point) which helped to ~sort of~ liven my skin up. It took away the flakes and added hydration which was great. I then added mizon aio snail repair cream which i thought would be a great day time moisturiser, as it came with good reviews. Unfortunately this wasn't moisturising at all so had to use two layers, which made it bearable. my skin was quite dry, and from what ive read on here, probably dehydrated too. So, after a few weeks of scrolling around on SCA/AB, i'm thinking that my skin can handle some extra things. I researched BHA's because i have CC's and uneven skin tone/blackheads etc. I read about purging, so thought i was prepared. I used Cosrx BHA 1x per week for 1 week, then 2x per week for about another week (i think), then i noticed pimples. sore ones. i got maybe three in about 1.5 weeks (which is unheard of) and they were in places i've never had pimples before. So i realise this isn't purging, and stop. unfortunately that was like 3-4 weeks ago and i'm still getting them! big ones that can be sore to touch but small ones too, and also more CC's and blackheads. i'm getting them on my jawline, forehead and chin. I read this can be from hormones as well as i'm 31. But it seems like too much of a coincidence? I tried oil cleansing too which I thought would help clean my skin (as i also wear sunscreen so was thinking that may be clogging my skin), however that has left me with irritated skin also. I stopped after 3 nights (about 1 week ago) and the rash is still there. I'm aware i've probably ruined my moisture barrier (so easy to do!), but seriously, it's been weeks, and i'm still getting pimples. has anyone else experienced this? does it go away? what products should i introduce to help with the pimples? I got Hadalabo's hyaluronic acid lotion 3 days ago, so i've started using that. can anyone suggest anything? my face is super sad which makes me sad :( here's some photos of my skin: http://imgur.com/a/PxJLq . i know my skin isn't bad, what some people have to deal with is truly bad, but i don't want my face to get worse and worse, so i'm really hoping for some help. Thank you!!! <3
