Beauty Tips For Body Care
Hey Guys,First time here. As stated I use Benzoyl Peroxide wash twice a day to keep my skin clear. I've tried to get off it many times and go with a gentler skincare regime, but it seems to be the only thing that consistently keeps my face very clear. The downfall is that 1) I have a midas touch for some time afterwards where everything I touch becomes bleached (even have a streak of natural-looking, luckily, highlights in my hair due to it.) and 2) keeps my face very dry in certain parts of my face (eyelids, not intentionally washing but sometimes hard to avoid, and most noticeably underneath my beard). Just grazing my bear at times, which is not very long (1/2" maybe) will generate dandruff.I'm tired of it. Do you guys have any solutions? I feel like I've tried everything under the sun as far as keeping my skin clear without benzoyl (and even scaling back to once a day brings back break outs). I still tone and moisturize after washing.Do I change my breakout regime or do I keep it and attack the dandruff head on?Useful Information:I believe I have normal to slightly oily skin.I have been to a doctor and he put me on minocycline and a benzoyl cream. I have dropped the pills and switched to an OTC wash to cut down on cost.I have tried: soap-free washes, soap washes, facial oils, beard oils, toners of various sorts, moisturizers (oil-free during the day, glycolic moisturizer at night), face masks, etc. Nothing consistently keeps my face clear like benzoyl peroxide.Current Routine: Twice a day I will wash with Clean and Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser, tone with Kiehl's Facial Fuel Energizing Face Wash (because it's left over, but other toners of various degrees haven't changed the problem) and then will moisturize with Cetaphil Moisturizing LotionI've been using this wash for probably going on a year now when I finally caved and came back to Benzoyl with my tail between my legs because it gets results.Location: California, Price Range: Reasonable based on how long the product will last me.This is the beard for length and visual purposes when it comes to recommendations.
