Is it possible to have a bad interaction of vitamin C serum and sunscreen with hours in between application of products? [Product question]

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I have been trying Skin Actives vitamin C serum for about 2 weeks now. The first week I only used it 2x at nights, then the second week I increased the use to every other night. The first 3 times I applied it I felt my skin kind of tingling for a minute but I thought that's normal because it is an acid after all, and that tingling decreased as I kept using the serum. Is it really normal to feel that?Saturday night I did my routine of washing my face, exfoliating, vitamin C serum, moisturizer, and then went to bed. The morning after, I wanted to go out for a run but I was too lazy to do my morning routine since I was going to shower after my run and would have to do it afterwards again any way. So, I just put sunscreen on, but the moment I applied it on my face my skin was tingling. I left in in for about 5 minutes thinking it was probably nothing, by then my face was burning and very red. I immediately washed my face with (Clinique's) mild soap but my skin was still very red and hot. I had to put on a towel with cold water on my face to soothe the burning sensation. About 20 minutes later my skin was fine, so I just put on moisturizer and went to run on the treadmill instead of outside :(The only new product I used on Saturday night was the vitamin C serum, so I'm guessing some bad interaction happened when I applied the sunscreen on, which I had worn several times before. But, there were at least 10 hours between the vitamin C serum and the sunscreen applications and I applied Clinique's DDMG about 20-30 minutes after the vitamin C serum. Does this mean I'll never be able to use vitamin C on my morning routine? I wear Olay's sensitive skin moisturizer with 30SPF in my morning routine. Should I try a different brand of vitamin C serum?TL;DR- I believe I had a bad interaction of vitamin C serum with sunscreen.
