[Product Question] The Ordinary's Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% - How and how not to use?

Beauty Tips For Body Care
I bought this product, even though I've never heard of azelaic acid before, because of Beautypedia's high rating. I've done some preliminary research and I gather that I'm meant to use this during the "pH-dependent active"/"purging" phase of my skincare regime, because it's similar to the effects of BHA's/AHA's. But I still have a couple questions:Is it okay to use this when wearing a BHA (2% salicylic acid) at the same time (after the appropriate wait time, of course)? I've read not to use it in conjunction with AHA, as they will cancel each other out (is this true?). If I use it in conjunction with a 2% BHA, will I be over-exfoliating or triggering some terrible chemical reaction?Should I use it as a spot treatment for acne and scarring, or all over my face (the two are nearly synonymous at this point. RIP)? It seems difficult to spread.
