[Acne] fermented foods and fish oil for cystic hormonal acne?

I just want to a new doctor to get a few scripts filled and mentioned my acne. I have cystic hormonal acne, dry skin, and not much has helped it.She said gut health is super important and recommended eating more fermented foods like Kombucha, pickled onions, etc. And also fish oil. A quick search of the sub seems like this isn't a crazy idea and it makes sense to me - does anyone have any experience with this? Tips? Thoughts?I don't figure it can hurt to try it anyway. She says it should to 3-6 mo to see results.
