some context: i'm a highschooler in the US taking an extra credit chemistry class to prepare me for honors chemistry. on a pop quiz yesterday, the teacher asked for 15 different types/groups of acids. after naming several common acids (hydrochloric, nitric, sulfuric, etc) i panicked after noticing i still had 4 left. with minutes on the clock, i hurriedly scribbled in some acids i remembered from hours spent on this sub (beta hydroxy, glycolic, salicylic, and lactic). got my test back, and surprisingly he accepted it! :) thanks r/skincareaddiction!EDIT: actual chemists on this sub please don't get mad @ me i'm new to chemistry and he just asked for types of acids. this week was just an intro to basics and he gave us that quiz to assess our knowledge.
