[Acne] Are hydrocolloid bandages worth using on a cyst that is starting to form or unpopped whiteheads/cysts?

Hi. I don't like popping my acne spots since I am prone to scarring and hyperpigmentation so the only situation I would probably be able to use them is when an open wound forms or when I accidentally pop them. I don't want to waste these hydrocolloid acne patches as they are a little expensive so I'm wondering if these hydrocolloid bandages are worth using on cysts that look like they are about to form? Are they also worth using on unpopped whiteheads / cysts? Thanks for the help.
