Hi guys! I've been lurking here for a couple years now, but somehow I still feel completely lost in skincare routines...With my skin I feel like I can only choose between having extremely dehydrated, scaly skin - or acne.I have been struggling with blemished/acne skin for almost 10 years now.My most recent 'experiment' was doing OCM (I did jojoba + tea tree for 3 months). I then stopped OCM because I felt it made my acne worse, switched back to using a gentle cleanser and moisturizer, but now my skin has just gotten a lot drier.Here's how my skin looks now.BTW the stuff in my neck is new!! :( Not cool...I went to my doctor two times. The first time he prescribed me some sort of tonic that strongly smelled of alcohol, which apparently is normally used to treat infected skin. This had no effect on my skin. I went back and he prescribed me an ointment to treat rosacea (I have no idea why?!) and obviously this did not help either. I wanted him to refer me to a dermatologist but I guess he doesn't think my case is bad enough for that.What I have tried:Salycilic acid foam cleanser (I don't know the percentage): this made my skin very dryBenzoyl peroxide exfoliant (nor BHA or AHA, also don't know the percentage): I'm still using this irregularly, but it has no effect on my acneOvernight moisturizer + vaseline: didn't help with dryness caused by foam cleansersMy current routine:AM: Splash of water under the shower - moisturizer - BB CreamPM: Gentle cleanser - moisturizer - vaselineOnce a week: Exfoliate with benzoyl peroxide - red clay maskQuestions I have:What is this time of acne called (or can this even be called acne)?Do I need to see a dermatologist?What type of cleanser would you recommend that treats my blemishes but doesn't dry the skin out?What are some good websites that ship products to the Netherlands (at an affordable price)?
